Meridian Director – Digital to Analog Converter

We received this new product on Monday. It is a compact really cool product that can dramatically improve the sound of most audio systems that play either CDs, mp3s, or high-resolution computer music files.

You take the digital output of the CD player and use a coaxial digital cable (our first choice is a Transparent Premium 75-Ohm Digital Link cable) or an optical cable ( Transparent High Performance TosLink – not as good but still does the job) and run that into the Director’s digital input.

If high-resolution files from a computer is your favorite way to listen, you can also connect it via USB (try the Transparent Performance USB Digital Audio Cable)

You then run a pair of RCA cables (like the Transparent MusicLink Plus) back to your preamp, receiver or integrated amplifier and you’re done!

The unit is powered either by the USB of your computer or the provided wall adapter.

You will find the sound clearer, with more detail and much less noise. The size of the soundstage will be larger and the total experience is improved in a much more realistic and natural musical presentation.

This simple looking little black box (about the size of a juice box) will really make an amazing improvement to the vast majority of music systems. We have it on display in our retail store, come by and check it out for yourself.

Highly recommended,
Elliot
